Schouten Global and OSRAM receive an award for their international leadership programme

OSRAM and Schouten Global have been presented with a prestigious Excellence in Practice award for their Essentials of Leadership Program (ELP) by the International ATD (Association for Talent Development). The award will be handed out at the ATD’s international congress in Washington D.C. on 20th May.

To win the award, nominees needed to demonstrate their development programme had achieved concrete and measurable results in addressing a particular strategic organisational issue. It also needed to be plugged in with broader initiatives which contributed to improving performance.

PROGRAMME CONTENT
Schouten Global developed the ELP four years ago, together with OSRAM’s Global Learning and Development Department. The blended leadership programme came in response to OSRAM’s strategic HR goals which aimed to foster those leadership skills and mindset essential to operating and innovating in the current economy.

These skills include decision-making and coping with change, as well as helping them, employees and teams develop a stronger mindset. The ELP also enables future leaders to shape their new roles in a way which complements OSRAM’s strategy.

OUTCOMES
The measured impact and outcomes of the programme have been impressive. Those who took part scored it an 8.7, while nearly 100% indicated they now had more trust in their leadership capabilities. In the effect measurement their managers also noted a clear positive development in how participants had been growing into their role as a leader.
