Course description

Communication is not just about exchanging information. It’s about conveying your message effectively and understanding the impact it might have on other people. In this course you will experience how your underlying beliefs have an effect on the way you compose yourself and how you interact with other people.

You will also learn to ‘read’ verbal and non-verbal behavior. During interactive exercises your will practice communicating effectively even in difficult situations, without compromising the relationship and trust. Staying authentic to yourself and respectful to the other.

In this course you will learn how to communicate with confidence and bring valuable contributions to your conversations. By connecting with your values, talents and ambition, you will strengthen your ability to bring your message authentically and successfully. Your work and personal life will benefit significantly as you discover various styles to handle different situations.


By the end of the course, you are able to:

  • increase self-knowledge and skills concerning communication patterns and basic communication principles
  • adapt your communication style to the person and situation, increasing your success in communicating effectively and obtaining your goals
  • recognize the signs if your communication style does not prove to be effective, and shift to a different approach
  • deliver bad news in a clear yet respectful way
  • deal with difficult behavior, and interfere effectively, whilst staying true to your values and personality
  • be sensitive of cultural aspects in verbal and non-verbal communications
  • deliver and receive feedback, increasing the quality of your cooperation and engagement skills
  • analyze and overcome communication difficulties in an increasingly global and virtual work environment
